5 Days Marangu Route
The Marangu Route is the fastest, easiest and most popular route to Uhuru Peak and takes 5 days. The summit of Kilimanjaro was reached first on this route. Since the first route was discovered in Marangu, there are many facilities such as camping cottages. The shelters offer beds and pillows, however climbers need to supply their own bedbags. The trail to Marangu reaches the top of Uhuru on the Southeast side of Kilimanjaro Mountain. If you are not adequately prepared, you may have difficulty getting to the peak since acclimatization is difficult without previous preparation. This will make reaching the peak more challenging.
